Webinar: Protein Everywhere: But What Does the Evidence Say?

The latest insights show that protein has become top of mind for consumers and the most sought-after nutrient, but don’t Americans already eat enough protein?
Join Jonathan Clinthorne, PhD, on Wednesday, July 29, from 2-3 p.m. ET, for a complimentary webinar that unpacks the latest consumer insights related to high protein diets, reviews the latest protein recommendations from the 2025-2030 Dietary Guidelines for Americans (and how these new recommendations came to be), and highlights some of the latest research related to protein intake at different life stages. Key topics, including the roles of different amino acids, animal vs. plant protein, and measures of protein quality will be discussed.
Using the latest published research, Dr. Clinthorne will provide actionable insights into how to communicate effectively to patients and clients about protein quality, protein-fortified foods, and how protein intake must be considered in the context of the overall diet.
Learning Objectives
After completing this activity, nutrition professionals will better be able to:
- Understand the current “protein-food” landscape and how people are using protein content as a tool for choosing foods.
- Identify specific subgroups of the population who are at higher risk of consuming less protein than recommended.
- Assess different protein quality metrics and communicate to clients or patients about these metrics.
- Identify practical strategies to help patients achieve higher protein intakes as recommended in the 2025-2030 Dietary Guidelines for Americans (DGAs).
