Recorded Webinar: Stevia: The Science Behind the Sweet

Sugar reduction is one of the primary ways consumers believe foods and beverages can be made healthier; however, these same consumers still expect sweetness and great taste. To deliver on both these demands, food manufacturers are turning to stevia, a plant-based, zero-calorie sweetener.

Join Keith Ayoob, EdD, RDN, FAND, for a complimentary webinar that reviews the most recent scientific evidence supporting the use of stevia to help reduce the risk of chronic diseases and improve quality of life. As part of the conversation, Dr. Ayoob explores stevia’s origins and evolution, highlights important safety and regulatory considerations, and dives deep into the scientific literature surrounding sugar and caloric intake, from the effects on blood glucose and insulin levels to its influence on blood pressure and gut microbiota.
