WEBINAR: COVID Can't Stop Us: How to Deliver Live Virtual Cooking Classes and Demos on Zoom
Cooking classes and demos enable RDNs to communicate nutrition information to consumers; entertain their audiences; teach basic or advanced cooking skills; and showcase healthy recipes that are affordable, easy to prepare at home, and flavorful. As the world grapples with COVID-19, gaining the confidence to cook in front of a captive audience on-site or virtually via technologies such as Zoom is a critical skill set for RDNs working in clinical, community, academia, and private practice settings.
Join Liz Weiss, MS, RDN, on Wednesday, October 14, 2020 from 2-3 p.m. ET for a webinar that outlines the successful steps RDNs are taking to pivot from teaching in-person cooking classes and demos to those that are live but virtual.
Learning Objectives
After completing this continuing education course, nutrition professionals should be better able to:
- Identify why cooking demos can build consumer confidence in the kitchen and trigger behavior change for healthier eating patterns.
- Outline the steps required to plan, prepare, adapt, and implement an eye-catching, engaging, and interactive in-person virtual cooking demonstration or class.
- Conduct and illustrate a virtual cooking class on Zoom with one nutrient-rich recipe and a live audience.
