WEBINAR: COVID Can't Stop Us: How to Deliver Live Virtual Cooking Classes and Demos on Zoom

October 14, 2020

Complimentary Webinar on Virtual Cooking Classes and Demos on Zoom

Cooking classes and demos enable RDNs to communicate nutrition information to consumers; entertain their audiences; teach basic or advanced cooking skills; and showcase healthy recipes that are affordable, easy to prepare at home, and flavorful. As the world grapples with COVID-19, gaining the confidence to cook in front of a captive audience on-site or virtually via technologies such as Zoom is a critical skill set for RDNs working in clinical, community, academia, and private practice settings.

Join Liz Weiss, MS, RDN, on Wednesday, October 14, 2020 from 2-3 p.m. ET for a webinar that outlines the successful steps RDNs are taking to pivot from teaching in-person cooking classes and demos to those that are live but virtual.

Learning Objectives

After completing this continuing education course, nutrition professionals should be better able to:

  1. Identify why cooking demos can build consumer confidence in the kitchen and trigger behavior change for healthier eating patterns.
  2. Outline the steps required to plan, prepare, adapt, and implement an eye-catching, engaging, and interactive in-person virtual cooking demonstration or class.
  3. Conduct and illustrate a virtual cooking class on Zoom with one nutrient-rich recipe and a live audience.
