This continuing education course examines the latest research on the Nordic diet and its effectiveness in disease prevention and weight loss. Recommendations are provided for how RDs can put the information into practice when working with clients, patients, and members of the community.
Learning Objectives
After completing this continuing education course, nutrition professionals should better able to:
- Compare and contrast the Nordic diet with other diets including the Mediterranean diet and DASH (Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension) diet.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of the Nordic diet in disease prevention and weight loss.
- Design a meal plan based on the Nordic diet recommendations.
- Apply the information provided when making diet and nutrition recommendations to patients, clients, and members of the community.
