This continuing education course explores components of grapes that may be beneficial to health, evaluates the current evidence for consuming grapes to treat or prevent various medical conditions, provides appropriate strategies for incorporating grapes into daily intake, and examines possible side effects and interactions with common medications.
After completing this continuing education course, nutrition professionals should be better able to:
- Evaluate current research related to grapes and their effectiveness for preventing or treating various conditions and diseases.
- Recommend appropriate beneficial strategies and methods for consuming grapes.
- Differentiate between media hype surrounding products made from grapes and substantiated practices appropriate for recommendations to clients.
- Weigh the benefits of consuming grapes against the potential hazards or interactions of grapes for each client and situation.
