The sky is the limit when it comes to the field of fitness and nutrition. Registered dietitians everywhere are starting businesses across the country while growing their brand. The opportunities are endless when applied with passion, skills, and a little bit of risk taking. With that said, there are more businesses closing in the United States than ever before. According to Bloomberg, eight out of 10 entrepreneurs who start businesses fail within the first 18 months. A whopping 80% start off with hopes and dreams only to have them crash and burn. It’s important to know what it takes to not only start a business but to succeed and reach retirement.
Jim White will give attendees the true “rags-to-riches story” of how he built a small business into a seven-figure empire. He will give his knowledge on leadership, hiring a dream team, marketing on a shoe-string budget, and diversifying wellness assets to outlive an ever-evolving market. Jim will draw from his own personal experience to provide examples of career opportunities combining both fields, and assist attendees in creating goals, motivation, and vision for a robust career that is personally and financially rewarding.
After attending this session, nutrition professionals should be able to:
- List and understand the tools and skills needed to be a successful business owner.
- Identify at least three potential revenue generators for your business.
- Create a prioritization strategy for tasks relevant to success as an entrepreneur.
