This continuing education course examines current research on chronic kidney disease and provides recommendations and strategies RDs can use when counseling their clients on management and prevention.
 

Learning Objectives

After completing this continuing education course, nutrition professionals should be able to:

  1. Discuss the prevalence of chronic kidney disease among US adults.
  2. Identify at least three risk factors for the development of chronic kidney disease.
  3. Distinguish at least three complications of chronic kidney disease.
  4. State specific dietary and lifestyle recommendations to help clients prevent or manage chronic kidney disease.
