After completing this continuing education course, nutrition professionals should be better able to:
- State the difference between the most common types of anemia.
- Identify symptoms that may suggest underlying anemia.
- Identify patients who may be at higher risk for anemia.
- Educate patients about the need to include iron in their diets.
