Nutrition and MS: Strategies for RDs

This continuing education course identifies the relationships between food groups, macro- and micronutrients, and the etiology and management of multiple sclerosis and provides counseling strategies dietitians can use when working with patients.

Learning Objectives

After completing this continuing education course, nutrition professionals should be better able to:

  1. Evaluate the current body of evidence on special diets’ ability to affect symptomology in multiple sclerosis (MS).
  2. Translate scientific information on nutrition intervention in the pathophysiology of MS.
  3. Provide recommendations for evidence-based nutrition counseling for those affected by MS.
