The Dairy Controversy: An Evidence-Based Look

This continuing education course evaluates the current research surrounding dairy products and their impact on human health. It also prepares nutrition professionals to provide their patients and clients with individualized recommendations regarding dairy consumption.

Learning Objectives

After completing this continuing education course, nutrition professionals should be better able to:

  1. Evaluate the research surrounding dairy products with respect to chronic diseases.
  2. Identify strengths and limitations in the research on dairy foods.
  3. Develop individualized recommendations for consumption of dairy products for clients.
  4. Provide clients who are lactose intolerant with strategies to consume dairy products without suffering gastrointestinal distress.
