Recorded Webinar: Navigating Nutrition Misinformation in a Food Infodemic

Misinformation feels like it’s spreading to every aspect of our lives, including the food we eat. Potentially dangerous food trends like raw milk are gaining momentum, non-expert influencers are stoking unfounded fears, and anecdotes are winning out over scientific consensus. In fact, 43% of people in the US have never felt more uncertain about their food choices. The US appears to be caught up in a food infodemic, where the gap between evidence-based guidance and people's eating habits is widening rapidly. The voice of qualified nutrition professionals is critical at this moment.

Join Tia M. Rains, PhD, and Jessica Steier, DrPH, MPH, PMP, for a webinar that explores the landscape of nutrition information on social media and reviews key case studies to understand the impact. Drawing on recent research, Dr. Rains and Dr. Steier will delve into effective strategies RDs can implement to combat food-related misinformation.
