The Health Benefits of Ginger

This continuing education course reviews common and traditional uses of ginger, evaluates the current evidence for consuming ginger to treat or prevent various medical conditions, provides appropriate strategies for incorporating ginger into daily intake, and examines possible side effects and interactions with common medications.
After completing this continuing education course, nutrition professionals should be better able to:
- Evaluate current research findings related to ginger and its effectiveness for preventing or treating numerous health conditions.
- Recommend appropriate beneficial strategies and methods for consuming ginger.
- Differentiate between traditional purported uses of ginger and substantiated practices.
- Weigh the benefits of utilizing ginger against the potential hazards or interactions of ginger for each individual client and situation.
