This continuing education course reviews current evidence-based approaches to diagnosing and managing gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and its possible complications if left untreated. The lifestyle and dietary recommendations for patients and clients with GERD are discussed.
After completing this continuing education course, nutrition professionals should be better able to:

- List current evidence-based approaches to managing GERD.
- Describe at least three dietary and lifestyle approaches individuals can take to help manage GERD symptoms.
