Nutrition Guidance for People With ALS
This continuing education course will examine nutrition interventions to support people diagnosed with ALS. Lifestyle and dietary challenges will be explored with the goals of preventing malnutrition, maintaining muscle tone and strength, and identifying therapeutic practices to promote quality of life.

After completing this continuing education course, nutrition professionals should be better able to:
- Counsel patients on three ways to improve energy intake and slow weight loss.
- Determine when additional nutrition support is recommended and the best options to consider.
- Analyze strategies the multidisciplinary team can use to support improved patient quality of life.
