Recent Research on the Use of Beta-Glucans in CVD and Immune Health
This continuing education course will provide an overview of recent research related to the potential health benefits of beta-glucans in the areas of CVD risk factors and enhanced immune function. Common types of dietary beta-glucans will be discussed along with their specific features and key health benefits. The use of supplements will also be addressed as well as how RDs can help patients make informed choices about including beta-glucans in their diet.
